Meeting to Chalk Out Upcoming Functions

GNGC Director held meeting with Principal and Coordinators of Administrative Committees to chalk out programme for organizing Valentine Day/Reunion Function on 14-2-2025..Tentative programme and dates of other approaching annual functions were also discussed such as Commemoration Function to be held on 25th Feb, 2025; Athletic Meet-6th to 7th March, 2025 Fashion Flora-21st March, 2025, Sri Akhand Path Sahib to mark conclusion of the session 25th to 27th March, Alumni Association Function-4th April and Convocation to be organized on-5th April, 2025.

Essential Self-Defence Skills

To uplift and enliven the notion of “Women Empowerment” in true sense, GNGC organized a workshop-cum- training session on “Essential Self-Defence Skills” conducted by a distinguished and referee Mr. Shihan Kamal Sharma, Black Belt 7th Dan( OGKI & WKF), Referee A (KIO), Judge B (AKF) and General Secretary of the District Ludhiana Karate Association alongwith Ms. Nancy Gupta, Black Belt 2nd Dan, Referee A (KIO). The hands-on session proved instrumental in inculcating the required skills and realise the hidden potential of the young girls in face of adversity.

Activity of UG Department of Science Faculty

A group of enthusiastic students of Science Department B.Sc(General) Biotechnology,Bioinformatics accompanied by their teachers , embarked on an educational tour to Mahendra Chaudhary National Park in Zirakpur, on February11,2025(Tuesday) aiming to enhance their understanding of wildlife conservation and biodiversity.
The visit was organized as part of their curriculum to provide practical exposure to ecological concepts and environmental sustainability. Students had the opportunity to explore the park’s diverse flora and fauna, observe various animal and plant species in their natural habitat, and learn about conservation efforts undertaken to protect endangered species…

Be a Part of Valentine’s Day & Reunion Celebration

GNGC is provinding a golden opportunity to all the passed out batches of the college to join the celebration of Valentine’s Day and Reunion on 14th February, 2025 (10 am onwards) with musical beats of DJ and varied cuisine in the college ground.

  1. Colour Code for dresses will be RED and BLACK for teachers and students.
  2. Following the dictum- Earn while You Learn, current students of the college will come forward to display their innovative spirit in Food, Nail-Art and Art and Craft stalls and many more.
  3. DJ party will be organized for recreational and cultural growth of the students alongwith ON-THE-SPOT FUN GAMES.

Educational Visit to Department of Renewable Energy Engineering, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana

PG Department of Chemistry organised an Educational trip to Department of Renewable Energy Engineering, P.A.U., Ludhiana wherein students were given demonstrations on Anaerobic Digestion, Densification of Biomass, Biofuels and Solar energy gadgets to enhance their understanding about sustainable processes.

Honouring the meritorious students

Talented students of GNGC from PG Dept. of Punjabi, Sociology, History, Political Science and UG Dept. of Physical Education who clinched first three winning positions in Paper Reading Contest, Creative Writing Contest-Essay and Physical Education Activities were honoured with Certificates of Appreciation by Director, GNGC, GNCH and GNIFD and college Principal alongwith teacher-in-charge.

“Digital Presentation on Folk Dances Contest”

UG Department of Dance organized a “Digital Presentation on Folk Dances Contest” on 8th February, 2025 wherein the students who have opted Dance as a subject presented their PPTs on emergence of folk dances. The winners were given certificates of appreciation. Such activities are necessary to inculcate confidence and develop research aptitude.
