UG Department of Dance of GNGC organized an inter-class Poster Presentation Competition on the theme- Indian Classical Dances to encourage the students to attain research oriented attitude and showcase their creativity with effective communication.

GNGC observed International Mother Language Day on 21.02.25 to mark the significance of regional languages, acknowledge the linguistic diversity of our country and to promote multilingual education that encourages unity in diversity. The students of the college took a pledge to keep learning new languages but at the same time, to be committed to preserve and respect our mother tongue.

Department of Home Science of GNGC conducted a Recipe Writing Competition on 21.02.25 on the basis of prior knowledge imparted to the students via classroom teaching regarding recipes and different cooking techniques. Certificates were given to the three outstanding receipes. In an another departmental activity, students of Home Science were taught Stencil Printing Techniques for fabric ornamentation wherein students created samples on the said craft and learnt newer techniques.

UG and PG Department of Fashion Designing organized a PowerPoint Presentation Competition on Traditional Embroideries and Historic Costumes. The students who excelled in the art of research and presentation were given Certificates of Appreciation for their efforts.

Department of Fashion Designing (Diplomas) and Cosmetology conducted a workshop-cum-Hands on Practice session on Tie & Die Techniques and Hand Embroidery wherein students learnt the art by doing and created various samples such as dupattas, bedsheets, cushions, shirts, tablemats, handkerchiefs and so on for home decoration and practical file submission.

PG and UG Faculty of Computer Science of Guru Nanak Girls College, Model Town, Ludhiana organized Website Designing Competition to impart practical skills required by the students to find deserving placements in professional world after completing their studies.

GNGC bagged OVERALL RUNNER UP Trophy in “Xpressions 2025-An Inter College Competition” held at GNIMT on 19th February 2025 wherein our talented students bagged First prize in Fashion Show and Face Painting, Second prize in Cooking Without Fire, Third Prize in Group Song, and Group Dance alongwith Third Prize in Makeup and Hair Styling and Logo Designing as well.

The Department of Commerce and Management organized an industrial visit to Kitty Industries Pvt. Ltd. This visit enhanced students’ understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain management, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application.
