Under the leadership of Dr. (Mrs.) Charanjit Mahal, the Department of Commerce and Management organized a two-day workshop on the Practical Aspects of Income Tax on 6th and 7th February 2025. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Mandeep Kaur, a distinguished alumnus and Chartered Accountant, currently working as an Associate at PwC.
On the first day, Ms. Kaur provided hands-on training in key income tax procedures, guiding students through PAN card applications and ITR filing using the online tax portal. The interactive session enhanced their understanding of tax regulations, compliance, and digital filing systems.
The second day focused on filing income tax returns for individuals and businesses, introducing students to online tax portal and various ITR software. The workshop proved highly beneficial, with many students applying for PAN cards on the spot.
