COUNCILS / COMMITTEES

  • Committee for Anti-Ragging/Sexual Harassment at Workplace /Grievance Redressal Cell/Eve Teasing Cell: Principal, Faculty members and student representatives (College Head Girl and Hostel Head Girl) are members of this cell. If any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority, the concerned student shall be given liberty to explain and if her explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority would expel her from the institution.
  • College Development Council: It consists of 11 staff members from all streams. It has an important role in major decision making of college activities. The members of the council frequently hold meetings to discuss and make efforts to facilitate growth in all respects. The council co–ordinates with the Principal and the staff for smooth functioning of the college.
  • Finance cum Purchase Committee: It consists of the college Bursar and 4 other members. The work of the college is handled by different committees and the financial transactions of these college committees is supervised and recommended to the Principal by this Finance cum Purchase Committee.
  • College/Hostel Student Council: It consists of elected representatives from all sections of Under Graduate and Post Graduate classes of all streams. It has an important role in airing demands, opinions and grievances of students. Its executive committee consists of Head Girl, Vice Head Girls, Faculty Head Girls and Assistant Head Girls.
  • Weekly Monday Assembly: Every week starts with the Monday morning assembly. The assembly begins with the recitation of Shabad ‘Meharwan, Sahib Mera Meharwan’ by all in chorus. Scholars interact with the faculty and the students in the assembly to inculcate cultural, moral, social, spiritual and family values in the students.
  • Tutorial Groups: To facilitate a harmonious student–teacher interaction a group of students is assigned to every teacher for the academic session. The teacher supervises their academic progress through meetings held from time to time and informs their parents/guardians about their progress through correspondence.
