For M.Sc.(Biotechnology) \/ M.Sc. (Physics) \/ M.Sc. (Chemistry) \/ M.Sc. (Mathematics) \/ M.Sc. (Fashion Designing) \/ M.Sc. (IT) \/ M.Com \/ M.Com (B.E.) \/ M.A. (English, Punjabi, History, Political Science, Sociology)<\/strong><\/p>

Admission to Post Graduate Courses will be made strictly in order of merit which will be decided as under:-<\/p>

[1] Academic Weightage<\/strong><\/p>

The marks obtained by the candidate in the concerned subject in all semester of the Bachelor’s degree in the respective streams.<\/p>

[2] Interview \/ Aptitude Test (whichever applicable) in the concerned subject.<\/strong>
[3] Eligibility conditions to take admission in above mentioned PG Courses are as under:-<\/strong><\/p>

  1. The candidate should have secured 50% marks or more in the aggregate in B.Sc.\/B.Com.\/B.A.\/B.B.A\/B.C.A.<\/li>
  2. The candidate should have passed the concerned subject during her graduation.<\/li>
  3. The candidate should have secured 45% marks in the concerned subject if she does not meet the criteria of 50% in aggregate in BA and is seeking admission in the concerned subject in MA.<\/li>
  4. The candidate who has already obtained her MA degree in one subject is also eligible to get admission in MA\u2013I in any other subject.<\/li>
  5. Only those students are eligible for M.Com(BE) \/ M.Sc.(Physics) \/ M.Sc.(Chemistry) \u2013 1st year who have cleared Entrance Test conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh.<\/li>
  6. For M. Sc.(IT) the candidate should have obtained BCA\/BE\/B.Tech\/BIT or equivalent to BCA degree in Computer Science from Panjab University or any other University recognized by the P.U. syndicate.<\/li>
  7. Only those students are eligible for M.Sc.(Biotechnology) 1st year who have cleared Entrance Test conducted by Panjab University (50% weightage to entrance test & 50% weightage to qualifying exam). A Bachelor’s Degree with Physical, Biological, Pharmaceutical, Agricultural, Veterinary or Fishery Sciences or Engineering\/Technology, Medicine (MBBS) from any university\/institute recognized by Panjab University, Chandigarh with at least 55% marks is required to appear in the Entrance Exam conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh.<\/li>
  8. Only those students are eligible for M.Sc.(Fashion Designing) 1st year who have passed B.Sc(Fashion Designing), (B.Voc in Fashion Designing or Fashion Technology) or students who have passed B.Sc.(Home Science) with Clothing & Textiles as elective subject with at least 50% marks in the aggregate from Panjab University, Chandigarh or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto by PU Syndicate.<\/li>
  9. For M.Com & M.Com(BE) the candidate should have obtained a bachelor’s degree in Commerce\/B.Com(Hons.) or Business Administration with not less than 45% & 50% marks respectively in the aggregate; OR<\/li><\/ol>
    • A graduate with Hons. in Economics OR Mathematics OR Statistics OR Commerce with not less than 45% marks in the aggregate; OR<\/li>
    • A graduate with 50% marks in the aggregate having offered Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or Commerce as a subject in the examination. OR<\/li>
    • An associate of the (i) Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England or (ii) Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England; OR<\/li>
    • A pass in the final examination conducted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
