ORIENTATION ACTIVITY REGARDING 67th ZONAL YOUTH & HERITAGE FESTIVAL
A purposeful Orientation Programme was organised at Guru Nanak Girls College to sensitise and prepare the participating students for the 67th Zonal Youth & Heritage Festival, with a special emphasis on adhering to the rules, regulations and decorum of all contests and competitions.
The students were motivated by the Head of the Institution, Dr. (Mrs.) Charanjit Mahal, Director, Guru Nanak Girls College, Guru Nanak Charitable Hospital & Guru Nanak Institute of Fashion Designing, in the presence of the College Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Rakhi Malhotra, and all the In-charges of Youth Festival items.
Reiterating that discipline is the hallmark of GNGC, Dr. (Mrs.) Charanjit Mahal encouraged the students to participate in every competition with confidence, sportsmanship and a healthy spirit of competition. She urged them to maintain their poise, composure and dignity throughout the festival, respect the rules and fellow participants, and accept the results gracefully, irrespective of the outcome.
The students were reminded that true achievement lies not merely in winning, but in representing the institution with integrity, discipline, teamwork and grace. They were encouraged to cheer for one another and contribute towards creating a positive and harmonious festival environment.
On the occasion, Mrs. Rupinder Kaur Bhullar, Contingent In-charge, Youth Festival, assured the Head of the Institution that the students would represent GNGC as ambassadors of efficiency, integrity and discipline, and strive to bring laurels to the college through their talent and exemplary conduct.
The Orientation Programme was conducted in accordance with the directions of Dr. Sukhjinder Rishi, Director, Youth Services & Welfare Department, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
