NATIONAL SEWING MONTH | CELEBRATING THE ART OF SEWING
The Department of Fashion Designing, Guru Nanak Girls College, Ludhiana, organised a creative and skill-oriented workshop for the students to commemorate National Sewing Month. The workshop aimed to highlight the significance of sewing as an essential skill in the field of fashion designing while providing students with an opportunity to enhance their practical knowledge and craftsmanship.
The enthusiastic participation of the students reflected their keen interest in developing their technical skills and exploring the creative possibilities of sewing and garment construction.
Dr. (Mrs.) Charanjit Mahal, Director, GNGC, GNCH and GNIFD, appreciated the initiative and encouraged the students to continue developing their practical and creative abilities. Dr.(Mrs.) Rakhi Malhotra, Principal, GNGC, also motivated the students and appreciated their enthusiastic participation, dedication and creative efforts throughout the workshop.
The workshop served as a meaningful initiative to celebrate the art and craft of sewing, reinforcing its enduring relevance in fashion education and encouraging students to value creativity, craftsmanship and hands-on learning.
