🌿 Celebrating National Nutrition Month 2026 🌿

Guru Nanak Girls College, Model Town, Ludhiana celebrated National Nutrition Month on 24 September 2026 with an informative and hands-on activity by the Home Science Department focusing on the significance of fermented foods. 🥣🌱

Students explored the traditional and nutritional importance of fermentation and learned how this natural process can support digestion, improve nutrient availability and contribute to overall well-being.

As part of the activity, students prepared delicious traditional fermented dishes including Idli, Dosa and Appam at home, connecting nutritional knowledge with practical culinary skills. 🍽️✨

Director, Dr. (Mrs.) Charanjit Mahal, and Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Rakhi Malhotra, graced the occasion, motivated the students and applauded them for their commendable work.

The activity beautifully highlighted the message that traditional food practices, when understood scientifically, can contribute to healthy and sustainable food choices.
