Guru Nanak Girls College, Model Town, Ludhiana, celebrated Women’s Equality Day with great enthusiasm and active participation of students. The programme was organised by the Department of Sociology on the theme “Equality in Action: Empowering Women, Transforming Society.”
The programme was held under the able guidance and encouragement of our respected Director, Dr. (Mrs.) Charanjit Mahal, whose constant support inspires the college to undertake such meaningful initiatives.
The valuable guidance and support of Principal, Dr. Rakhi Malhotra, also contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.

The celebration aimed to create awareness about gender equality, women’s rights, equal opportunities and empowerment. Various activities including a panel discussion, student presentations, poster/slogan competition, group discussion, documentary presentation and pledge were organised. The enthusiastic participation of students made the programme meaningful and thought-provoking.
