The illustrious maidens of the college continued with the winning spree and proved their stellar by showcasing exuberant performances in co-curricular activities throughout the session. The agile girls of the college outnumbered others at the Panjab University Inter-Zonal and Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival wherein 46 industrious students clinched the first three positions.
Nitika of MA II-English made us proud by winning the august GOLD MEDAL in 37th Inter University National Youth Festival held at PAU, Ludhiana after clinching GOLD MEDAL in State Level & a BRONZE MEDAL in North Zone Inter University Youth Festival.

Since the inception of this prestigious institution way back in 1970 by the then Chief Minister of Punjab Justice Gurnam Singh, GNGC has produced thousands of responsible citizens, efficacious professionals and proud possessors of core values of efficiency, discipline and integrity, who had been nurtured like children during their academic journey and are now making a huge difference in society by serving in various capacities such as Assistant Professors, Research Scholars, Project Heads, Teachers, Sports Trainers, Govt. Employees in Punjab Police, Indian Army, PROs, Air Hostesses, Make-up-Artists, Bloggers, Nail Technicians, Social Media Influencers, Models, Fashion Designers, Merchandisers, Movie Actresses, Singers and many more…
To inculcate the feeling of inclusiveness, the students of the college were given an opportunity to buy red Cross flags, to donate money for the noble activities run by Red Cross society.
The Red Ribbon Club of the college worked laboriously to spread awareness against the deadly disease AIDS by organizing various extension lectures, seminars, camps and competitions.
The faculty of the college remained actively engaged in pursuing higher echelons of excellence. Several members upgraded their qualifications as several faculty members delved in research pursuits by attending several refresher courses, special winter schools and orientation programmes. Some of the faculty members delivered key-note lectures as resource persons. Many faculty members cleared UGC-NET Exam. Continuing the voyage of wit and wisdom, many faculty members got research papers and books published in various reputed National and International Journals.
