WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY DAY | CELEBRATING CREATIVITY THROUGH THE LENS

Guru Nanak Girls College, Model Town, Ludhiana, celebrated World Photography Day on 19 August with great enthusiasm. The Department of Fine Arts organised a photography competition, providing students with a creative platform to showcase their artistic vision, imagination and unique perspectives through the lens.

The occasion was graced by Dr. (Mrs.) Charanjit Mahal, Director, GNGC, GNCH & GNFID, along with Dr. (Mrs.) Rakhi Malhotra, Principal, GNGC. The dignitaries appreciated the creative efforts of the students and took keen interest in the photographs displayed during the event.

The competition witnessed active participation and enthusiastic involvement of students, who presented their creativity through diverse ideas and thoughtful compositions. It was organised under two themes — “Stories Through My Lens” and “My College, My Frame,” with separate winners for both categories. Dr. (Mrs.) Charanjit Mahal appreciated the winners and shared her encouraging words with the participants, motivating them to explore new ideas and continue expressing themselves through photography and art.

The celebration provided students with a meaningful opportunity to observe, create and appreciate photography as a powerful medium of artistic expression.
