PG Department of History organised a series of activities on the theme Swadeshi Protest in the premises of Guru Nanak Girls College, Ludhiana on 22nd August 2026.
These activities aimed to connect with the spirit of swedeshi.The programme commenced with a swedeshi pledge in which students and faculty members pledged to promote indigenous products .
various activities were organised to focus on the theme “DESH KI-CHOICE-SWADESHI”. The programme commenced with the Poem Recitation in which students presented their compositions based on theme-Swadeshi ko do apna saath. This was followed by Papers Presentations on theme-Swadeshi Humari Samajhdari ,Nukkad Natak on theme- My choice is Swadeshi this was presented by the PG students of History to spread awareness.Furthermore , to encourage students swedeshi Awareness Wall on the theme Desh ki choice swedeshi was created in the campus where the students wrote slogans and messages regarding swedeshi.
In the Poem Recitation Contest Taniya of M.A.2 (History),Dimple Adhikari of M.A.2(History) and Gurleen kaur of B.A.1 secured 1st, 2nd, 3rd position respectively. They were awarded certificates by college authorities.Let us Pledge Together ” Swadeshi Se Badagi Baat”.
Overall the activities inspired students to grow as responsible citizens in contemporary India.
