Guru Nanak Girls College, Model Town, Ludhiana celebrated Commemoration Function on 25^th February, 2026 to mark 127^th Birth Anniversary of Former Chief Minister of Punjab & founder of the college- Late Justice Gurnam Singh Ji who played a transformative role in making the state the most prosperous in India. His revered son S. Gurbir Singh, President, Guru Nanak Education Trust was the Chief Guest on the occasion.  Dr. Charanjit K. Mahal, Director, GNGC, GNCH & GNIFD extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries and esteemed guests and said that the establishment of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Plant, Bathinda, Punjab School Education Board, Mohali and many other Institutions is a lasting tribute for him. Paying glowing tributes, Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Rakhi Malhotra said that the city of Ludhiana owed a lot to Justice Gurnam Singh. Member of Guru Nanak Education Trust Dr. (Prof.) S.S. Mahal, Director, MMH also graced the occasion. Rich tributes were paid to Justice Gurnam Singh ji who served the nation with distinction as a statesman, sportsperson, judge & an educationist. 16 talented students of the college were presented the tokens of appreciation on the occasion. Students from Music and Dance Department entertained the audience with their performances.
